"How could you just give up?" Maggie yelled, when they got a moment alone.
"Maggie listen to me" Bart said firmly. "I didn't give up, I would never give up on you, but something's wrong here and I suspect foul play. If I can find those people who lied, I can get them to tell the truth and we can get this overturned. Now you probably don't remember but they once took you, me, and Lisa away from our parents but they got us back, and if they can do it, I can do it. I'll find a way, we'll be together again" Bart promised her.
Maggie let tears run down her face as she hugged her brother.
"Just please hurry, I love you" she cried. "I love you more than anybody, I...I don't want this to be good bye"
Bart raised her chin up and kissed her forehead.
"It won't be, I promise, just be good to your foster parents, or wherever they send you, and I'll get us back together again, as quickly as I possibly can, after all I have Lisa on my side, it won't take long"
They held each other for as long as they could before Judge Harm told them their minute was up.
